Children of younger preschool age learn with the greatest interest and enthusiasm through play-based activities. Play is the primary and leading form of learning, development, and information perception for children aged 3-5 years. Through various games, an essential stage of social development and formation takes place. Learning and development through play is a process where children acquire knowledge and skills by actively and joyfully participating in different play scenarios.
In the younger age group, during lessons, we engage children in role-playing games, use a variety of constructive and logical puzzles, didactic materials, as well as encourage creative tasks, musical activities, and physical exercises. We also actively use sensory bins filled with different materials that are regularly changed. These sensory boxes are among the children’s favorites and help develop fine motor skills.
The famous educator Vasyl Oleksandrovych Sukhomlynsky once emphasized: “A child’s mind is at their fingertips.” Today, no one can deny the importance of developing fine motor skills — the ability to perform precise movements with the fingers and hands. This skill is directly linked to attention, memory, vision, and the nervous system and is closely connected to speech development due to the proximity of motor and speech centers in the brain.
Taking into account the developmental needs of children, we incorporate finger games and movement coordination exercises, complemented by artistic and aesthetic activities such as modeling with clay, drawing, cutting, assembling mosaics, and puzzles. We read or tell fairy tales, discuss story pictures, and engage in activities to expand vocabulary and grammar. Dialogues and storytelling help children develop coherent speech and communication skills.
The primary goal of teaching and developing children in the younger age group is to improve their communication skills in the Ukrainian language, help them understand spoken language, and develop cognitive, social, and motor skills. We also focus on fostering independence and social adaptation. Group activities, pair work, and individual tasks are tailored to meet the age-specific needs and individual characteristics of each child.
Our goal is to carefully educate and develop children in a fun way. We strive learning process into a bright.
