The Ukrainian children’s choir “Glory” in Southampton is more than just a musical group — it’s a big, friendly family where every child finds support, inspiration, and the opportunity to develop their talents. We created this choir to bring together children who were forced to leave their native Ukraine due to the war, giving them a chance to sing, perform, and preserve our culture far from home.

Music helps develop speech, motor coordination, and a sense of rhythm, while also fostering social skills, cooperation, and empathy. Singing and musical activities have a therapeutic effect, helping to relieve stress, improve mood and well-being, and support emotional health.

What do we develop?
Our choir members not only learn how to sing beautifully but also gain many valuable skills:

Vocal mastery – proper breathing techniques, pitch accuracy, and voice development.
Musical ear and rhythm – understanding harmony and working with various musical styles.
Artistry and self-confidence – performance skills and overcoming stage fright.
Teamwork – learning to collaborate, listen to one another, and create harmonious sound together.
Discipline and responsibility – preparing for concerts teaches organization and focus.
Preservation of Ukrainian culture – exploring both traditional and modern Ukrainian music.
